Samsung Galaxy S9 processor will be released on January 4th
The processor that will likely power the Galaxy S9 was unveiled three weeks by Qualcomm using the same 10nm processor that was pioneered in the S8. The Snapdragon 845 will likely power the North American and South American variants of the Galaxy S9 as well as the Chinese variants with the European models featuring the Exynos processor.
Samsung will be announcing the latest version of its Exynos 9810 processor on January 4th and the tweet that announced the news says this “goes beyond a component”. It could be that this is a subtle hint that Samsung has planned to unveil the processor alongside the new Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+.
The processor to power the Galaxy S9 will be unveiled in January and if not alongside, the S9 and S9+ will be announced during Mobile World Congress 2018 in February.
With all the processor elements for both variants of the S9 public knowledge, Samsung would have little reason to delay the release beyond February.
