Is your Samsung Galaxy Note 8 no longer charging?
Samsung and batteries don’t tend to have the best history if anyone remembers the whole Note 7 fiasco. The least said about that the better. However, another battery issue could be plaguing the Note 8 if the latest reports are anything to go by.
Users have been taking to Samsung’s Community Forums to share that when the Note 8’s battery is completed depleted to 0%, the device will fail to register a charge and will not, therefore, charge back up rendering the phone completely useless. It seemingly doesn’t matter how long the device is left charging and will not budge from 0%.
my wife's note 8 turned off today and won't turn back on. tried the soft reset and safe mode button pushes and it won't turn on. When it's plugged in, the red light doesn't turn on.
Samsung does appear to be accepting returns on a case-by-case basis and will be offering those who experience the issue replacements. Samsung is yet to make an official announcement but hopefully this is just a software bug that can be ironed out.
