LG V30 is official and it looks amazing

LG has released the update to last years LG V20 that saw some excellent pro features with manual controls and that secondary display that had mixed reviews. LG seems to have figured out what works and what doesn’t with the LG V30.

You’ll find a 6-inch 18:9 Quad-HD OLED screen with rounded corners and an almost bezel-less display that looks very similar to the LG G6. The second display from the V10 and V20 has been removed completely. There’s no curving to the display like the Galaxy S8 and that shows as you get a little bit more bezel on the side of the device but for some could mean it’s more comfortable to hold.

Android version
7.1.2 Nougat

IP68 water/dust resistant
Wireless charging
3.5mm headphone jack
Quad DAC for hi-fi audio
MIL-STD-810G durability

On the rear of the device you’ll find a Gorilla Glass 5 back with dual-lens camera and fingerprint sensor. The device is IP68 water and dust resistant but that does mean you lose the ability to replace the 3300mAh battery.

The LG V30 will run Android 7.1.2 out of the box and comes with LG’s own personalized touch of added features with its skin.

Unfortunately there is no price as of yet, but the LG V30 is set to be released on September 21 in South Korea followed by North America, Asia, Europe, Africa, and the Middle East. LG haven’t revealed release date details for any other region yet.
