Android Go is aimed at lower-end smartphones that have a budget-friendly price but ensures the latest features of Android are available to these devices.

Google has teamed up with a number of vendors in India to launch affordable Android smartphones running Android Oreo Go Edition.

Google has set up deals with several companies like Micromax, Lava, Intex, and Karbonn to hopefully bring the Indian market more Android Oreo Go options with a starting price of Rs 2,000 which is about $31.

Thanks to Android Go, it now means that budget phones will still benefit from the latest security and features of Android Oreo and that’s a huge market in somewhere like India where the average price of a smartphone is under Rs 2,000.

It’s a big step for Android Go and expect to see some more news around this as the devices begin to launch.
