Android 7.1.1 Nougat is coming to the Sony Xperia Z5 lineup
Despite Android O lurking around the corner, there are still many devices that have not been updated to the latest version of Android Nougat. Sony’s lineup of devices are some subjected to the holdup, but it seems there is some good news.
The Sony Xperia Z5 lineup, which launched all the way back in 2015, has started to see an OTA update, which brings Android 7.1.1 Nougat along with it. Additionally, the update features the June 1 Android security patch, which is great news when you look at other devices that are a few months behind.
The Xperia Z5 lineup wasn’t the only device to begin receiving the Android 7.1.1 Nougat OTA update, and here’s the full list of devices:
- Sony Xperia Z5
- Sony Xperia Z5 Compact
- Sony Xperia Z5 Premium
- Sony Xperia Z3+
- Sony Xperia Z4 Tablet
